Hi, I’m Shannon. And I have some things to tell you about your body.
First: it is not broken. It is not betraying you. It is not working against you.
It is, in fact, one of the most brilliantly designed systems in existence, created with intention, with intelligence, with love. And it has been trying to heal itself your whole life.
Those symptoms you have been living with? They are not just “part of life.” They are not random. They are not something to simply manage or suppress. They are your body communicating loudly, persistently, and purposefully. Every symptom is a message.
My job is to help you decode those messages. Through Quantum Reflex Analysis (QRA), a kinesiology-based method that identifies nutritional deficiencies and energetic blockages in the body, we can find out exactly where your body is stuck and what it needs to move forward. Then we give it the right conditions to do what it was always designed to do: heal.
That’s what I’m here to coach you through.
Where this all began, in a kitchen, with lentils
I was mostly raised by my Pakistani grandparents, eating the foods of my heritage: daal (lentils), chavel (rice), dahi (yogurt), and paratha, a flat bread fried in oil. Simple food. Relatively inexpensive food. The kind of food that has nourished families for generations.
And yet even in that humble, home-cooked kitchen, the ingredients were working against us in ways we never knew. The paratha was fried in canola or vegetable oil, highly processed oils made from seeds that were never meant to be consumed in large quantities. These oils are extracted using high heat and chemical solvents, which damages their structure and turns them into inflammatory fats that the body struggles to process. We thought we were cooking from scratch. We were, in many ways. But the oils we used every single day were quietly fuelling inflammation.
And that is just one ingredient in one kitchen. Zoom out and the picture gets harder to look at.
The wheat we eat today is not the wheat our grandparents ate. Modern hybridization has dramatically increased the gluten content of wheat, and studies show that modern varieties contain significantly higher levels of gluten proteins than older heritage varieties. The dairy most of us grew up drinking comes from cows raised in confined spaces, fed grain-based diets they were never designed to eat, often given hormones and antibiotics to survive conditions that would otherwise make them sick. And those humble lentils and rice? Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, is routinely sprayed on lentils, rice, wheat, and dozens of other crops right before harvest as a drying agent, a practice called pre-harvest desiccation. It gets absorbed directly into the grain. It cannot be washed off. And it ends up on your plate.
Glyphosate has been classified as a probable carcinogen by the World Health Organization’s cancer research agency. Research has also shown it kills beneficial gut bacteria, disrupts the endocrine system, and damages the intestinal lining, contributing to the very leaky gut epidemic we are now seeing everywhere.
God did not intend for food to look like this. In Genesis, He gave us seed-bearing plants, fruit, and clean animals as nourishment. The food He designed was whole, unprocessed, and grown in living soil. What we have done to the food supply in the last century, through industrial farming, chemical intervention, and genetic modification, has taken us further and further from that original design. And our bodies, which were never built for this kind of food, are telling us so.
So it is no surprise, really, that I started to experience symptoms that had no clear explanation. Digestive issues nobody could explain. Cystic acne that made me want to hide. Bloating, constipation, unpredictable days. All things I now know were my body communicating exactly what it needed. Back then, I just thought something was wrong with me.
It wasn’t until my early twenties that a naturopath suggested removing dairy and gluten, not as a fad, but because of what mass food production had done to these staples. I was skeptical. I also had nothing to lose. So I tried it, and slowly, the skin cleared. The bloating settled. My gut, for the first time in my memory, felt quiet.
“I didn’t find health by ignoring my symptoms. I found it by finally listening to what my body had been saying all along and providing it what it truly needed.”
The moment everything changed
In March 2016, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.
We had watched my great aunt go through conventional treatment, chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery. It was a long and difficult road, and we lost her despite everything she endured. My mom made the brave, deeply personal decision to pursue natural healing instead. She was told she had one year to live without conventional treatment.
She had five.
I threw myself into research. Nutrition, herbs, juicing, whole foods, supplementation. I became her caretaker, her advocate, her chef, her researcher, her best friend. We did whole food plant-based together. We juiced. We learned. We cooked from scratch every single day. And I watched food, nature and God do things that nothing else could.
But I also learned something deeper in those years, something that no nutrition textbook taught me. Healing is never just physical. The reduction of stress, the presence of love, having a sense of purpose, feeling genuine joy and hope: these are not soft extras. They are as biologically necessary as the food on your plate. My mom told me many times that she was ready to go home to Heaven. And yet she stayed and persisted, again and again, because of how much she loved me.
On November 14th, 2020, I graduated from nutrition school with first class honours. It was during Covid, so convocation was held online. There was no ceremony, no celebration. But she held on long enough to bear witness to me reaching this milestone, and she was so proud.
My mom passed away on February 25th, 2021. She was one of the most important people in my life. In the end, I learned that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is tell someone it is safe to let go. I was right by her side until her last breath.
I may not have kept her alive. But I carry my mom with me in this work, every time I help someone see their body as worthy, as loved, as fearfully and wonderfully made.

The land, the earth, and finding my footing
After my mom passed, I bought a home with half an acre in the countryside. It was actually a dream we had shared together, my mom and I. We used to talk about living in the woods one day. While I am not quite in the woods, I am surrounded by beautiful trees and wildlife, and that feels close enough to the dream for now.
What I found there changed me in ways I am still discovering. Walking barefoot in the grass. Growing wild herbs, fruit and veggies. Watching seasons change slowly. Learning to live at a pace that actually allows your nervous system to rest, which as I now teach my clients, is not a luxury. It is a biological requirement for healing.
The land healed something in me that food alone could not reach. And it became one of the cornerstones of everything I now teach: sunlight, clean water, grounding, breathwork, stillness. These are not trends. They are the conditions God designed us to live in.
My Background
I bring both lived experience and formal training to this work:

Faith is the foundation
My grandparents were Catholic and introduced me to faith early. Over the years my path evolved, and today I am a Christian. I follow Jesus and the Bible, simply and sincerely. My faith is not something I keep separate from my work. It is woven into everything.
I believe God designed the human body with breathtaking intelligence. I believe He put medicine in the earth before He put it in a lab. I believe rest, community, purpose, and love are not soft extras. They are part of the design. And I believe that when we learn to work with the body God gave us, rather than against it, we tap into a capacity for healing that is genuinely remarkable.
You don’t have to share my faith to benefit from this work. I do not judge, it isn’t my place, and I treat every person who comes to me with the same love and respect Jesus showed to everyone he encountered. You will find my faith woven through everything I do, in the way I speak about your body with reverence, in the recipes I write with gratitude, in the deep conviction I carry that you were made with purpose and with care.
What I believe, about you, your body, and healing
- Your body is not your enemy. It is your most faithful ally.
- Symptoms are messages, not malfunctions. When we learn to listen, they become guideposts.
- Food is medicine. It always has been. God put the pharmacy in the garden first.
- Every organ you were born with has a purpose. Yes, including your appendix, your tonsils, and your gallbladder.
- You cannot heal a body you are at war with, physically or emotionally.
- Nature is not a nice-to-have. Sunlight, clean water, earth, and deep breaths from the belly are biological necessities.
- Healing is not just physical. Relationships, purpose, joy, faith, and hope are medicine too.
- You are not too far gone. It is never too late to start.
